2013 Aston Martin Vanquish

The 2013 Aston Martin AM 310 Vanquish, officially named the "Aston Martin Vanquish"

Sitting proudly at the pinnacle of the luxury British car maker’s sports car line-up, this breath-taking new super grand tourer represents the zenith of current Aston Martin design and engineering. Vanquish points to an exciting and confident future for the historic brand.

Vanquish is a new Aston Martin featuring the next generation of the renowned VH architecture as well as a significantly upgraded 6.0-litre V12 engine that is considerably more potent than before.

The design represents the latest take on Aston Martin’s iconic visual language. Vanquish unquestionably sees the brand continue its enviable tradition of producing some of the most beautiful sports cars in the world. Styling cues such as the elegant new waist, elongated side strakes and LED rear light blades are derived from the One-77 supercar.

Unmistakably an Aston Martin, the design shows a clear and coherent lineage from its heritage while providing an equally clear pointer to the luxury car brand’s vibrant future. Closer inspection reveals details such as the stunning new Aero Duct on the rear boot lid. This elegantly devised passive engineering feature, which counteracts lift at the car’s rear when travelling at speed, is a triumph of both design and technical ability.

Performance, presence, style and great British craftsmanship – the new Vanquish has all these traits in abundance.

Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Dr Ulrich Bez said: “Vanquish is the ultimate expression of Aston Martin design ethos, engineering innovation and technical ability. It offers luxurious, continent-crossing capability and pure driving excitement without compromise.

“Bearing the same name as the iconic V12 Vanquish that did so much to cement Aston Martin’s reputation as a maker of great GT cars in the modern era, I believe the car unveiled today once again puts this great British brand at the top of its class.

“The new Vanquish mixes beautiful design with impressive technology such as the superb new infotainment system. This is the latest incarnation of everything we know, informed and developed from One-77. It is the ultimate Super Grand Tourer – confident and assured – and is the newest representation of Power, Beauty and Soul.”

As happy on the streets of a bustling city as it is carving through the countryside or long distance motorway touring, the Vanquish offers a thoroughbred British luxury sports car that’s also suited to everyday use.

Powered by a significantly revised naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 petrol engine mated to the proven Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox, the new car offers suitably impressive performance figures. The V12’s power peak of 565 hp (573 PS) makes it Aston Martin’s most potent production model yet, outmuscled only by the strictly limited edition One-77 supercar.

The raw statistics speak for themselves: 565 hp at 6,750 rpm, 620 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 183 mph place the Vanquish firmly into supercar territory. Yet the brand’s team of engineers have been working towards economy and emissions improvements, too.

The latest engineering methods, innovative technologies and typically understated classic British design come together to make the muscular new Vanquish a true super GT. For instance, each body panel on the car is constructed from carbon fibre because of its high strength-to-weight ratio and flexibility of form. Meanwhile torsional rigidity is improved by more than 25%.

Practical improvements such as a newly designed and significantly more spacious cabin and a boot that, at 368 litres, is more than 60% larger than that of the DBS, ensure the new Vanquish can carry sufficient luggage for even the most ambitious grand tourist.

Designed and hand-built at Aston Martin’s global headquarters at Gaydon in Warwickshire the new Vanquish, available as a 2+2 or 2+0, sits atop a broad line-up of world-class sports cars including the exquisite DB9, sporty V8 Vantage and luxurious four-door Rapide.

2013 Lucra LC470

U.S. based company, Lucra, revealed their just barely street legal 2013 LC470 supercar. The LC470 sprints 0 - 60 mph in a blistering 2.5 seconds. Under the hood is the Corvette ZR1's supercharged 6.2L V8 pumping out 630 horsepower.

This new LC470 features a redesigned carbon fiber body, optional HID, LED and halogen lights, LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights. There is increased airflow with hood vents, an updated cooling and exhaust system, race cage 6-piston caliper brake system, eye-catching colors and more.

Lamborghini Aventador J

Lamborghini announced its new speedster, the Lamborghini Aventador J "Unica," and confirmed it would be a unique, one-off production. An unnamed buyer bought the car for €2.1 million ($2.76 million), a spokesperson confirmed Tuesday.

There is only one Lamborghini Aventador J and whoever the lucky individual is who ultimately purchased the Aventador J, he or she bought an incredibly beautiful and well-engineered machine and no doubt left those they outbid with the lingering taste of jealousy.

The car is based on the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, but it has been substantially lightened and stuffed full of new technology from Lamborghini to make a faster and sportier, though perhaps less comfortable, Aventador. The Aventador J sports a 6.5 liter, 700 horsepower, V12 engine with an ISR (independent shifting rod) transmission and all-wheel drive.

Most distinctively, the Aventador J has lost some weight by losing the roof, windshield, air conditioning and navigation system from the Aventador LP 700-4, meaning the new car will come in somewhere under its 1575 kg (3,472 lb). The slimming down should also speed the car up on the track.

While the car never underwent a track test session to measure times, predictions based on the aerodynamics and specifications of the car project a top speed over upwards of 186 mph, a Lamborghini spokesperson said.

The interior of the car is certainly spare anyway you look at it. Every indication is that it will just be two seats, the controls and dials, and some pedals -- minimalism with the focus on driving. There isn't even a radio, not that you would be able to hear one anyway with nothing but the car's wind deflectors to protect you. The seats and cockpit are clothed in what Lamborghini calls "Carbonskin," with inserts of "flexible carbon fiber fabrics."

A close examination reveals an arm sticking up out of the top of the hood. This is, in fact, the rear view mirror. While at first blush it seems like it would be goofy, it seems to fit in with the overall minimalism and angularity of the Aventador J's styling.

Much of the car's styling, though, also serves a utilitarian purpose. The front and rear bumpers, for instance, have additional fins to increase downforce, and thus grip, and rims designed specifically to ventilate and cool the brakes of the car.

"We're not talking about future versions of the Aventador yet," a company spokesperson said when asked if the Aventador J presaged changes to the Aventador LP 700-4.

"The coupe is sold out for the first 18 months of vehicle production," the spokesperson added.

Ultimately, only one lucky buyer will get to experience the Aventador J, and so the jury could remain out for a long time on whether it's actually any good to drive unless Top Gear somehow gets ahold of it. Either way, though, it is a sight to behold.

2013 Nissan Altima

Nissan has given the world another glimpse of the upcoming 2013 Altima in the form of the video after the jump. While we've already seen a quick glimpse of a test vehicle thanks to a previous clip and an overhead shot via the very first official teaser, the newest video gives us our best look yet at the front fascia and headlight array. Judging by the quick peek, the 2013 Altima will rock a much more stylized front end than in the past, complete with design elements borrowed from the likes of the Maxima and 370Z.

2013 Nissan Almera

The upscale, affordable sedan will wear the famous ‘Almera' badge and will mark Nissan's entry into the increasingly important mainstream market following its sales launch early next year.
Almera was developed by Nissan engineering teams in Japan, the UK and Russia, and will be one of the most spacious sedans within the Russian mainstream segment offering distinctive Nissan styling and engineering at outstanding value.
Russia is already Nissan's largest European market and in Calendar Year 2011, sales increased year-on-year by 75% to more than 138,000 units. This performance established Nissan as Russia's largest Japanese manufacturer with a 5.2% share of the overall market and around 7.5% share amongst overseas brands.

2013 Nissan 370Z

The NISMO 370Z also adds a new Bose® Premium Audio Package with two additional speakers and two subwoofers, premium gun metallic dark-finish 19-inch wheels, and Nissan GT-R style high-rigidity brake hoses and performance brake fluid. The NISMO 370Z does not adopt the new front fascia/rear reflector, Euro-tuned shocks or Midnight Blue exterior color.
“Since the original 1970 Z® was first introduced our goal has always been to keep the design moving forward. The changes for 2013, though subtle, go a long way in enhancing its dynamic appearance inside and out,” said Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division, Nissan North America, Inc.

2013 Nissan GT-R Track Pack

Externally the Track Pack is easily identified by lightweight six-spoke RAYS alloys with gloss black painted centers.
The brakes behind these are cooled by additional cooling ducts built into the front bumper. These reduce the operating temperature of the front brake discs by as much as 100 degrees during track use, improving the stopping performance. Similar ducts, hidden behind the rear wheels, channel cooling air over the rear discs.
To reflect this GT-R's harder edge, the suspension's spring rates have been revised to be optimal for track use. Like all GT-Rs though, the dampers are adjustable to offer more comfort when the car is being used on the road.

2012 Mitsubishi Mirage

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) will be the Mirage and the MITSUBISHI Concept PX-MiEVⅡ. They respectively embody two major pillars to the company’s product strategy outlined in the 2013 mid-term business plan: global strategic models focused on emerging markets and models featuring “green technology.” TheMirage compact car embodies the global model strategy while the MITSUBISHI Concept PX-MiEVⅡ concept SUV features “green technology” with its unique plug-in hybrid drivetrain.

2013 Maserati GranTurismo Sport

The new GranTurismo Sport with its dual soul offers sporty handling and high-performance on one side, without compromising on elegance and passenger comfort on the other, characteristics no Maserati can be without. The new GranTurismo Sport in the Maserati MY13 product range replaces the GranTurismo S previously proposed in two versions, with automatic and robotized manual transmission. In the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand it will be marketed beginning with the MY 2013 range.

2012 Koenigsegg Agera R

The Agera is designed with the minimalistic “less is more” philosophy in mind. This philosophy means that the shape of the car has to be purely functional with no added features except those purely needed to meet regulation, added safety, ergonomics, practicality and aerodynamics. We believe that if this philosophy is followed, the car will also be beautiful as it is purely purposeful. A good analogy is the evolution of a dolphin that has had to meet similar criteria in order to reach their present configuration through the evolution of nature.

2013 Koenigsegg Agera R

The 2013 Agera R features the world’s first hollow, one piece, super light carbon fiber wheel, using a proprietary method developed by Koenigsegg named Aircore™ Technology. The Aircore™ wheels save close to 20kg in unsprung mass, while providing great integrity and safety. The only metal part in the wheel is the tire valve – the rest is all once piece hollow carbon.
The Agera and the Agera R have the first production engines in the world to use nano-surfaced cylinder sleeves, from ANS, for reduced friction and fuel consumption.
New in-house developed engine management system, which provides added functionality whilst still meeting all OBD II regulations.

2012 Opel Ampera

The wheels of the Ampera are electrically driven at all times. A unique 16 kWh lithium-ion battery pack feeds an advanced, 111 kW/150 hp electric drive unit to deliver between 40 and 80 km of pure electric operation with zero emissions – depending on terrain, driving technique and temperature – when fully charged. According to the ECE R101 regulation for measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, the Ampera consumes less than 1.6 l/100 km and emits less than 40 g/km CO2 (preliminary data).
On the road, the Ampera’s Voltec electric propulsion system ensures lively performance and promises an unrivaled driving experience. Instant torque of 370 Nm enables zero to 100 km/h acceleration in around 9 seconds and a top speed of 161 km/h. The Ampera delivers nearly silent electric drive under battery power and a highly refined NVH performance even in extend-range drive mode.

2012 Opel Zafira Tourer

Premium flexibility is the business card of the new Zafira Tourer. Opel engineers have substantially upgraded the clever Flex7 seating concept. While the entire third row can still be folded down flush with the floor of the luggage compartment, the second row has been completely re-designed: No longer a bench, it now consists of three separate, individual seats that can be folded flat and moved independently of each other. Each can slide longitudinally by 210 mm.
In addition, passengers in the second row can benefit from the unique, optional Lounge Seating system, providing generous limousine-like seating space and comfort.

2013 Opel Mokka

Despite its 4.28 meter measurement, the Mokka generously accommodates five people in a commanding position. It also delivers on Opel’s promise to combine attractive design with innovative technologies and upmarket functionalities, making them accessible to a wider segment of customers.
“The Opel Mokka takes its strengths from traditional, larger SUVs and fits them into a modern compact format,” says Opel CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke. “The Mokka extends Opel’s vehicle line and continues the momentum we’ve built up over the last few years with our strong product offensive. It also energizes the new SUV B-segment that is predicted to grow considerably over the next years.”

2012 Opel Astra GTC

The major change, however, is not visible to the naked eye. All Astra GTC versions, regardless of the powertrain and trim level, are fitted with an extra feature, normally only available in high-end sports cars: front suspension with High Performance Strut (HiPerStrut). Compared to the standard McPherson suspension from the Astra, HiPerStrut has reduced kingpin inclination and offset and a shorter spindle length. This improves wheel guidance and grip, reduces torque steering reactions and increases cornering power, offering Astra GTC drivers the sporty, crisp feel they expect, with enhanced precision and feedback.

2012 Vilner BMW 5-Series

The car is BMW F10. Perfect forms, perfect design and technical features. Interesting and functional interior. All a man could want. But what if you want something more? What if you want personality? What if you want your energy become one with the car’s energy and you cannot achieve this with the factory-made design?
The famous Bulgarian CSKA soccer player, Kostadin Stoyanov, likes his car but he wants more than BMW can offer.

2012 MTM Audi Q3

MTM has spearheaded this movement with a proven model in this category: more power for sportier performance! Cars from the MTM high-tech studio in Wettstetten, Germany, that are headed for the finish line, are power-packed and have what it takes to take the lead.
Also oozing pure power is the MTM Q3 2.0 TFSI Quattro, which is presented in bold black, red and gold, just like the power-charged MTM "Bulli". An obvious reference to the European Football Championship by the MTM team: "If you want to play in the top league, you better drive in the top league”, MTM boss Roland Mayer adds with a smile when talking about the patriotically-colored creation of his associates. Meanwhile, under the bonnet everything is just what you would expect from MTM: high-tech for high performance and the satisfaction of knowing that “more is more”.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG

Performance is also enhanced with a winning combination: AMG active suspension (based on ABC Active Body Control), new AMG speed-sensitive sports steering, the AMG high-performance compound brake system and the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission. Topping off this impressive package is an enticing mix of stylish design, extensive standard equipment and a high safety level.

MINI John Cooper Works Coupé: 4-cylinder petrol engine, displacement: 1.6L, output: 155 kW/211 hp at 6,000 rpm, max. torque: 260 Nm/192 lb-ft at 2,000 – 5,100 rpm. Acceleration: 0–100 km/h (62 mph): 6.4 seconds, top speed: 240 km/h (149 mph).

2012 Mini Roadster

The hallmark MINI design language within the proportions of a roadster gives the first open-top two-seater in the history of MINI an unmistakable and irresistible charisma. Even with the roof closed, the MINI Roadster displays an elegant, sweeping silhouette, with the transition from soft-top to rear end highlighting its characteristic three-box design particularly clearly. This layout encompasses a clear visual separation of the car’s boot (capacity: 8.5 ft3) from the passenger compartment, while a wide through-loading system behind the seats enhances practicality.
